Ari Lehtola
Executive Director, Midnight Sun Film Festival
Ari Lehtola (b. 1964) has worked for the Midnight Sun Film Festival since 1987. Since the 1990 he has been the executive director of the festival as well as a prominent person in Finland as the primus motor for various national and regional projects such as Cultural Travelling and Midnight Sun Film Centre, an initiative to development and market the remote northern territories for film productions. As the executive director Lehtola is responsible for the finances and overall organizational development of the festival. Lehtola is currently an expert of a government based the committee that is reevaluating the norms and bureaucracy of the cultural events in Finland.
